when you are whole, outward, shining, giving oh how lucky I am everything which is good about you radiates it is so easy for me to pick up on your vibe and suddenly I am the smiling, giggling idiot not even sunshine can compare when you are curled up everything going inward like a frightened armadillo refusing to peak your head out it is hard part of you seems broken and I desperately try to fix it taking parts of myself to patch a gaping hole I try to stand for both of us even though it’s often hard to support just myself but I manage I am the person who will endure a long winter just for that first sign of spring
